Your questions answered

On average most production cases take around 3 – 5 days to build depending on the current workload in our workshop. This time can obviously vary if you have chosen a large number of customisations. We aim to give you a realistic timescale when placing your order and would always be in contact with you if we believe this would change.

This isn’t something we regularly do however we have done this before. Most of our international clients will arrange shipping themselves as they have their own choice of courier. We would be more than happy to help you find one too. One thing to be aware of is whilst we are happy to oblige with packaging things for international, we are not liable for import taxes/customs charges.

The honest answer to this question is we haven’t found our limit as of yet. The main limiting factor currently would be the workspace dedicated to flight case manufacturing. Our largest case has been in excess of 6m wide by around 2m deep. Obviously a thing to keep in mind would be larger cases carry more cost due to an increase in materials. Also despite extra bracing they may end up with some weak points simply due to the law of physics.

Yes of course! Bespoke cases are our speciality therefore we always try to accommodate to your requests. If you provide the RAL colour code we can have boards produced in this colour however there is a minimum order of this so for a one of case this may be prohibitively expensive. Alternatively choose a colour from our standard collection and depending on stock availability you can have your case within standard delivery timings.

Every flight case will have some form of catch mechanism. This ranges anywhere from a Penn Elcom MOL3 Catch all the way to a drawbolt latch. Options for these include padlock brackets, code locks and some can even have an integrated key lock. If you’re unsure or have something specific in mind, we’d be more than happy to hear your thoughts and discuss your requirements with you.

Any of our standard range of cases purchased from our website are subject to a standard 30 day return policy incorporating the 14 day distance selling act law. An exception to this is on bespoke cases which unfortunately we can not accept returns unless this is due to a manufacturing defect. Please ensure when you order you double and triple check your dimensions and specification are what you require. With any returns, it is your responsibility to cover the cost of postage back to Ultrasonics Flightcases.

This is a service that has become quite popular in recent years and has even seen us working onsite with tour crews modifying existing cases. We’re more than happy to make alterations to existing cases where possible. We will bill you for parts and labour used after agreeing what will be required. In some circumstances, our flight case experts may recommend a full replacement case as yours may not be structurally strong enough to take the modifications. Please note that in some cases, it may be cheaper to purchase a new case as dismantling and altering can take a considerable amount of time.
